Causes & Symptoms for Sulphur Iodatum

Sulphur Iodatum is a chief remedy for various skin complaints like acne, barber’s itch and eczema. There are papular eruptions on the face.

It is well indicated in complaints of Cold sores on lips.

It is also used in Boils on neck. There is also itching on ears, nose and in urethra.

Sulphur Iodatum relieves Itching rash on arms. It also helps in relieving weeping eczema.

Dark red, swelling, sweeping eczematous surface with severe itching is relieved with help of Sulphur Iodatum.

Uvula and tonsils are enlarged and red.

Frequent micturition, especially mornings is relieved with help of this medicine.

Pain in kidneys, shooting down the ureter with Weakness of spinal column, pain in loins as if bruised, is relieved with Sulphur Iodatum

Hurriedness in all the work is seen in the patients

Mind

The person is Doubtful, Anxious, there is Unsteadiness of ideas and Apathy and inaptitude for business.

Head

Sulphur Iodatum is useful in complaint of Headache, frontal, tightness.

There is Shooting and throbbing in temples, when stooping.

Hair feels as if erect.

Nose

Sulphur Iodatum is useful in Coryza, Thick green mucus in nostrils, Acrid discharge.

Throat

Throat dry and painful to touch, feeling as if swelled.

Sore throat in morning is relieved by it.

There is Drawing, creeping sensation at back of throat.

Uvula and tonsils slightly enlarged and red.

Constant disposition to swallow saliva: throat and gullet parched, the saliva did not allay the dryness indicates Sulphur Iodatum.

Stomach

Sulphur Iodatum is indicated for Anorexia, desire for acids, pickles, lemonade.

Sensation of heat about pit of stomach.

Soreness and sinking in epigastrium is relieved by Sulphur Iodatum.

Stool and Anus

Sulphur Iodatum relieves itching in rectum.

Bowels constipated is checked by it.

Urinary Organs

Sulphur Iodatum relieves Itching in urethra, Frequent micturition, especially mornings.

Sulphur Iodatum relieves Pains in kidneys shooting down ureters.

Urine thick, whitish, creamy.

Respiratory Organs

There is accumulation of dark, purulent mucous in trachea, continued inclination to swallow saliva, which does not moisten it, mucus removed with difficulty and by violent, hacking, coughing and straining.

It relieves Tickling in larynx.

Sensation of dryness in trachea, thick, hard clots of mucus collected about top of windpipe difficult to detach, and which caused tickling and irritation of larynx and cough.

Chest

Tightness across chest, difficulty of expanding it, with prostration indicates Sulphur Iodatum.

Back

Sulphur Iodatum is indicated in Weakness of spinal column with pain in loins as if bruised, with weakness of spine.

Lower Limbs

Weakness of knees and joints is well relieved by it.

It is useful in Tickling in calves and feet.

Trembling and aching of ankle-joints is relieved by Sulphur Iodatum.

Soles of feet ache and burn and are sore when standing.

Generalities

Prostration, with difficulty of expanding chest on inspiration indicates Sulphur Iodatum.

It relieves Weakness as from influenza.

Much worse on waking in morning, sleepy, leaning forward, rising or ascending stairs.

Skin

Sulphur Iodatum is useful in Pustules on upper lip.

Erythema on skin is well relieved by Sulphur Iodatum.

It relieves Itching rash, like nettle rash on arms.
